As a parent of a gender non conforming kid (assigned female at birth), I understand on a very personal level how crippling dysphoria can be for a young person, and how much a compression binder can be a self-confidence boost!
As my child got older, it became more and more apparent that he wasn't comfortable in his own body. It became super important to make sure that he was not only safe, but felt good about himself too. The first time I got him a binder, his face lit up with relief.
This moment is one I long to replicate for kids all over the country and the world - even if they or their parents can't afford to buy a binder for themselves.
Our goal at Binders for Confident Kids is to provide a free chest binder (specially-designed chest compression garments) to any trans person who needs one and cannot afford or safely obtain one. We established in December of 2019 and have been growing ever since.
How we help you
Our mission is to provide safety and community to the LGBTQIA community. For B4CK this means providing safety and security in obtaining gender-affirming garments (chest compression binders and bras). We provide education, measurements, and garments for any trans or non binary person who needs access to this service.
At this time, we only supply binders to folx in our immediate area and can pick up their binder at a fitting.
