At Seed Theatre, our markets are about far more than shopping—they are acts of community building, economic development, and cultural celebration. We believe that artists, makers, performers, and small business owners deserve opportunities not only to share their work, but to build sustainable incomes, connect with new audiences, and thrive.

Our markets intentionally center creators who have historically been excluded from traditional economic opportunities, including queer and transgender artists, disabled and neurodivergent entrepreneurs, Black, Indigenous, and other creators of color, immigrants, low-income makers, and other marginalized community members. We recognize that systemic barriers often make it harder for these entrepreneurs to access affordable vending opportunities, supportive business networks, and consistent customers. By creating low-barrier, intentionally inclusive marketplaces, we help remove those obstacles while investing directly in community wealth.

Visitors can browse hundreds of handcrafted goods, original artwork, vintage finds, artisan products, specialty foods, and one-of-a-kind creations from local and regional vendors. Every purchase represents more than a sale—it is an investment in an independent artist, a family-owned business, or an emerging entrepreneur working to build financial stability through creativity.

Our markets also strengthen the local economy. By drawing thousands of attendees each year, providing paid opportunities for performers, connecting artists with new customers, and keeping dollars circulating within independent businesses, Seed Theatre helps cultivate a more vibrant and resilient creative economy. For many vendors, these events are more than a weekend market—they are opportunities to launch businesses, test new products, supplement disability benefits or household income, develop lasting customer relationships, and gain the confidence to pursue entrepreneurship full time.
