Seed Theatre Performing Arts

Before the Seed Theatre became a safe space and community haven for the LGBTQ+ community, it was just a theatre! Now, our theatrical performances are only one part of our work - but they are still more important than ever! Our creative board brings brand new shows to the stage often, highlighting and centering the experiences of queer and marginalized people.

& SONS
Seed Theatre is collaborating with Blake Harris, Peggy Douglas and Anne Swedberg of @Obvious Dad Theatre Company to support a wide range of Trans storytellers, writers, performers, poets, musicians, and spoken word artists, from a range of backgrounds to grow in confidence as the writers and/or performers of their own life stories.
The project will culminate in a live show November 15th – 17th at Barking Legs Theater
Cows on the Rings of Saturn

"Cows on the Rings of Saturn" is a poignant and whimsical play that follows the unlikely friendship between a young gay man and an old-fashioned grandmother. Set against the backdrop of solving intricate puzzles, their bond transcends generational and ideological divides. Through their shared love for enigmas, they navigate themes of identity, acceptance, and the beauty of human connection. This heartwarming tale invites audiences to reflect on the power of understanding and the unexpected ways we find companionship.

seed theatre & improv Chattanooga(3)

Join us for a day of spontaneous comedy and theatrical magic as Seed Theatre partners with Improv Chattanooga to bring you "The Unrehearsed, Untold, Untrue Story of..." Where is Seed Theatre?

While our offices are at The Edney Innovation Center, that space isn't exactly made for theatrical productions! Seed is glad to have a theatrical home at Barking Legs Theater as a community partner.
